The American Bar Association is hosting a free webinar on the “Practical Considerations When Providing Pro Bono Representation” on Friday, October 28th at 12 noon. The panel features The Pro Bono Project’s Director of Legal Services, Kathryn Lafrentz.
There are unique challenges, practical considerations, and rewards when representing low-income and marginalized populations in a pro bono capacity.
• Identify and learn to address specific practical considerations facing low-income and marginalized communities who rely on pro bono representation
• Identify challenges and learn strategies to maintain ethical obligations when providing pro bono representation to different types of clients
• Recognize opportunities to support communities by engaging in pro bono representation with an idea of what to expect and how to be an effective advocate
