As we approach National Pro Bono Celebration (NPBC) week, it occurs to me that pro bono work is happening around us all the time.
Since pro bono is such a part of the culture of the legal industry, we are often forget that 'volunteers' help to power most communities.
Where would this city, this region, this nation be without the many volunteers that come to the aid of organizations that serve those in need? They lend their time and their talents, just as do our lawyers, paralegals, and the many business professionals and lay persons who support us.
Although the National Pro Bono Celebration week celebrates our legal industry volunteers, let's take time to recognize all the volunteers who give so generously to the many in need across our nation. If you want to be a part of the celebration, check out our Upcoming Events page and our In Brief article.
Speaking of volunteers, please mark your calendar for Wednesday, December 9, 2015 when we'll acknowledge our own volunteers at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Awards event. We're working out the details and ask that you please check our Upcoming Events page in the next few weeks for complete information.
If you missed the 2015 Justice For All Ball, have a look at the photo gallery on the JFAB page. For those who partied with us, please take a moment to complete our post-Ball survey to help us plan an even more spectacular 2016 JFAB.
Thanks once again to everyone who worked to make JFAB 2015 a stunning success.
