Notes: In Brief May 2016

It’s hard to believe that a month has gone by since my arrival at The Pro Bono Project. What a whirlwind it’s been!

In that brief time I’ve learned a lot about The Project and this amazing city. I’ve experienced celebrations at a press conference for GiveNOLA Day (Never saw anything quite like this before!), begun the process of visiting with Board members and funding partners, getting to know staff and volunteers, along with delving deep into learning about The Project and all of its accomplishments through the years.

To that end, I am in the midst of an exploration and fact-finding process, and will then formulate a plan for the future direction of The Project in the coming weeks and months.

Already I see many possibilities for a bright and strong future. While I have many thoughts and ideas to continue moving The Project forward, I want to hear from you.

My door is open and I am looking forward to learning all I can from those of you who have served this organization over the years as volunteers, past board members, law students and interns. To your shared experiences, I will add my own perspective from the many opportunities I’ve had to work with other legal non-profits, their boards, staff, interns and volunteers in other communities. Through our combined efforts we will continue to blaze new trails as The Project has always done.

All the best,

Jenny
