Attorney Chauntis Jenkins of Porteous, Hainkel, Johnson moderated a panel of judges that included the Honorable Daniel E. Knowles, III, U. S District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana and the Honorable Regina H. Woods, Civil District Court, Orleans Parish. The hour moved quickly but was jammed packed with discussions of rule changes, attorney conduct during depositions, interactions with witnesses, sanctions, electronic discovery and communications among other topics.

Both judges shared their experiences across these topics, while Chauntis and those in attendance peppered them with specific questions, helping to clarify the expectations of each court. As well, Judge Knowles and Judge Woods told attendees what lawyers could expect should one of their cases ever come to the judges' courts. The evening was not without some laughter, as the judges offered some real life case anecdotes, without mentioning specific attorneys, that caused knowing smiles to flash across many attendees faces.

More than 45 lawyers, paralegals and others were in attendance for this year's CLE, which proved to be both informative and highly enjoyable for all.
